Manager at the reception area stayed for my late check in which was greatly appreciated due to some traffic issues on the 101. Motel was very clean and one of the few in the area with more than two beds since we are picky. Location was great since it's off the 101 but be aware of traffic noises as expected though.

Last time (2023) the lobby was being renovated and the towels were scratchy. Even my teenage grandson was impressed with the comfort of the bed, the bedspread and sheets were "snuggly" and the room stayed cool. If an hormonal male travelling with his 70+ grandfather likes the accomodations, you probably will too.

We arrived 4 hours early but the desk clerk checked us in anyway and said they'd have a room ready in 2 hours. The motel is lovely, with big pots of geraniums out front of each door. The rooms are large, with table and chairs, big TV, coffee, lots of soap, shampoo, etc. It's spotlessly clean, great air conditioning, good location. The only complaint I had was that the beds were soft, and I prefer a hard bed, but it seems most hotel beds are soft these days. People were friendly. There's a bakery and Mexican restaurant across the street you can walk to. This was my favorite hotel of our holiday.

We arrived and check in was a breeze. The very friendly lady at the office gave me the rundown and pointed me towards our room. We got the perfect room on the lower floor in the corner. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The hotel is right off the main road and close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay!

I’ve stayed in quite a few of the budget motels in Brookings, as I travel there for work occasionally. Westward may be the best - the staff are super nice, beds & pillows are comfy, great shower pressure, quiet heater, good size fridge, and everything is clean. It’s surprisingly difficult for motels to hit all those marks! I’ll be back at Westward next time. My only gripe is that I usually travel with my dog, so a little relieving area would be great. I had to take her around the block, and mine’s a midnight pee-er so it was a bit annoying. That being said, they didn’t charge me extra for the doggo which is rare.

We stayed here for the price and we're happy with our stay. Had a good night's sleep. The motel sits back and up from US 101, so you get less highway noise. The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. For the budget price, this is a great value.

Westward inn is a lovely place to stay while on the road! The rooms were very clean the beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and the staff is super helpful ( Big thank you to Rich) Don’t forget to check out the honey bee bakery just across the street!

Staying here was such a treat during my recent road trip. The room was super clean and had everything I needed to be comfortable, and the staff were really welcoming when I checked in. It is such a relief to find a spot that is well-maintained and quiet, especially when you have been driving all day. I felt right at home and would definitely stay again if I am passing through the area.
